Funding boost for CWBA

posted 5 Feb 2012, 04:25 by Niki Cross
CWBA would like to express their grateful thanks to all of those who have sponsored us or donated money to help us this season.
We have been fortunate to retain the sponsorship for after match catering for a 4th year from Monty's and have become the best place to eat in the league.
National Grid have also shown us on-going support through their match-giving scheme and, more recently, by an charitable gift.
Other charitable gifts this year have been received from:
Premier Inn who also sponsored our new kit
Jaguar Land Rover who have enabled us to purchase some much needed match quality balls and hoppers to store them (making it easier for wheelchair users to get them into use more quickly)
Waitrose who have enable us to buy supplementary 8ft baskets for the younger players which has enabled them to improve their scoring rate

We are also grateful for the donations received from Bishop Ullathorne School' s Christmas fund for the 2nd year
the hard work of Eileen Colsell in providing all the raffle prizes for a 2nd year adding fun to the fund raising
Charlotte Moore for her London Marathon donation
Colin Rowley (better known as Scoobie Doo to all his running friends) for his selection of CWBA as his 2011 charitiy
for the provision of 8 new sports wheelchairs
and all the other friends and members of CWBA who have made significant contributions that allow us to continue to offer wheelchair basketball to a growing number of young people and adults in the Coventry area
