CWBA Women were in action this weekend in the first of this seasons fixtures in the Women's League Division 1. The team took to the court for the first time together and took 3 wins from 3 games.
CWBA Women vs Angels 38-28
CWBA vs Vixens 50-23
CWBA vs Titans 52-25

Head Coach Ally Hope said "I was a apprehensive going in to the first weekend as we had a few changes to the roster from last year, plus trying to assess where the other teams were was difficult.... however, the ladies were awesome, played sublime basketball, and built a solid foundation with solid and dynamic defence. I'm really proud of the team and I'm looking forward to the next weekend"

The games  also featured Division 1 Women's League debuts for 4 young and talented players,  Adele Atkin, Jade Atkin and Emma Walton from Blackhawks and CWBA's own 13 year old Jess Dowdeswell.
The team will have to wait until January to face the league favourites Sheffield Steelers.
